刺葵花與蟹蛛

Symbiosis

-        Flowers of Spiny Date Palm (Phoenix hanceana) and Crab Spider (Thomisidae)

奶白色的刺葵花，吸引著採蜜的昆蟲．不懂結網的蟹蛛，利用體色，潛藏花間等待獵物出現．首先出現的是手持相機等看熱鬧的谷主．然後，傻奸奸的蜜蜂飛來了，在花間徘徊，這一朵花停一停，那一朵花又停一停，然後．．．

看熱鬧的我，卻在這個時候走了．留下很多很多的想像空間．

The camouflage of insects ties in with the changes of Mother Nature, when properly used, conceal their identities when they hunt for food. 

The milky flowers of Spiny Date Palm (Phoenix hanceana) attract insects to collect the nectar. Crab spiders (Thomisidae) do not know how to web.  However, they make use of their body colour, hide among the flowers to wait for the prey.  The first to appear was me holding my camera to be a looker-on.  Then, a bee foolishly flitted in and lingered among flowers; wandering from this flower to another, then . . .

But, I, as the looker-on, went away at this very moment; leaving behind much room for imagination.
